Since the beginning of its operations, METROLAB has recognized the need for a systematic and continuous effort to:
- Complying with the requirements set by developments in technology, legislation, and its customers.
- Continuously improving the characteristics of the services it offers, in order to satisfy its customers.
- Increasing efficiency and effectiveness in the operation of the business.
To achieve these goals, it was decided in 2003 to install and implement a Quality Management System compatible with the requirements of the ISO 9001 Standard.
The design, documentation, and initial implementation of the Management System, based on the specialized needs of METROLAB, were carried out in collaboration with an experienced external partner, who continues to support its operation and participate in its modifications, whether these are required by new versions of the Standard or decided as part of the continuous improvement process.
The Management System was first certified in February 2004 and continues to be certified by the accredited body TÜV Hellas based on the ISO 9001 Standard.
Since 2013, TÜV Hellas has been inspecting the company and certifying its compliance with the requirements of Ministerial Decision 1348/04 of the Ministry of Health, which is in the process of being replaced by Regulation (EU) 2017/746, for the storage and distribution of In Vitro Diagnostic and Medical Devices (IVD and MD).
